    Title: Our favorite treat recipe
Now that the holidays are here and we're in the kitchen doing all of our baking I thought I'd share one of our favorite dog treat recipes. This is without a doubt Bella's favorite treat. She likes these better than any I could buy at the store and they're so easy to make. There really isn't any way to mess this recipe up, you can add a little more of this and a little less of that. Just play around with it and find what you like best.

    Apple Cinnamon Treats:

1 cup flour (whole wheat, rice, or whatever you prefer)
    4 oz. applesauce
    1/2 cup oatmeal
    2 TBS honey
    1/2 tsp vegetable oil
    1 tsp cinnamon

Put a quarter sized dollop on a cookie sheet and bake in a 325 degree oven for 20 minutes or until they are just slightly starting to brown. Now here's our trick. You want the cookies to completely dry out. If they are left moist and chewy they will start to mold. You can leave them a little chewy if you like, but it would be best to store those in the refrigerator. Okay, we turn off the oven and let it cool. Then we put them back in the cooled oven and let them sit overnight to dry out. Presto! You'll have yummy dog treats in the morning. We decorate ours with a melted yogurt chips. After all, it is the holidays right? Store them in an airtight container. We got a little over 3 dozen treats from this recipe but you may have more or less depending on the size of your "dollop". Have fun and enjoy!

Warning: These smell so tasty that you might be tempted to take a bite. Go ahead, no one is looking, except your dog!

Title: Boutique Dog Bows are here!
I'm so excited about our new boutique dog bows. These were inspired by the popular bows invading all the local childrens' boutiques. I already have my favorites and can't wait to come up with even more designs. I just don't know which one Bella will get to wear first!

Each bow is carefully made by hand. We start off with only the best ribbon. All bows are not only sewn but are also glued (non toxic of course) to reinforce all that sewing we just did. Each one is attached to a one inch barrette. What does that mean girls? You can easily switch them out all throughout the day! Changing outfits? Change the bow. They measure about 1 1/4" in length and they are slightly stiffened to keep their shape and each one is treated to prevent fraying. Start picking your favorites so your furbaby will always be fabulously coordinated.

    Title: Everybody loves a pixie
My favorite little "do" for Bella is what I like to call the Pixie. There's nothing cuter than seeing her running towards me with her two little pigtails bouncing up and down. This is where our new pixie pairs came in. I wanted something small and cute for her hair. All of our pixie bows are made of high quality ribbon that is treated to prevent fraying. Not to mention they are sewn, not glued, together with two latex bands. What's my favorite part? The Swarovski centers of course because all girls need a little extra sparkle in their life!

    Title: Favorite time of year
I've been so busy lately that I hadn't even noticed the season had changed until I woke up to a cold, rainy day. It seems we went from 90 degree weather to 50 degree weather overnight. I'll admit I love the cold and I love the rain. I also love this time of year. We started the season off right by entering Bella in a Halloween contest. This whole crazy Tickled Pink thing started when 3 years ago I innocently made Bella a costume for Halloween and she ended up winning a prize.

I'm proud to announce that she took home 3rd place this year. She wore her Minnie dress and her set of ears. I don't think she could have been any cuter but that's just a happy momma talkin'.

    Title: It's here!
The surprise is finally out! What is it? Reversible dog dresses! What could a girl love better than having options? These are a breeze to put on with velcro attachment and the bows quickly and easily snap on and off. More and more reversible dresses will be added in the future as I'm able to find quality matching materials.

    Title: It's been a while
It has been a while so I decided I needed to let ya'll in on what's new here at Tickled Pink. Many new collars have just been added including the new 1" wide for those big dogs that we love so much. We're also using names of your lovable pets for our collars. If you would like a collar named after one of your pets just submit the name to us by email.

Also coming this week......new tanks!! I'm so excited to add these. They're turning out even better than expected. These are just too cute to pass up. Most of these have original sayings that won't be found anywhere else. Keep checking back with us so you'll be one of the first to get one of these cute tanks.

We will once again be attending the Canton Flea Market on May 10. The site will be closed for a few days for us to prepare and to take part in the market. Be sure to stop by and see us in the square.

I'm still working on the surprise that I mentioned last month. I only want to bring you the best so I'm still looking for just the right material. Keep your eyes open as I hope to bring it to you soon.

Title: Shhh! I've got a secret.......
I just wanted to give everyone an update about what's going on at Tickled Pink. The weather is starting to get warmer and that means new spring dresses! I've recently added the new Ladybug dress and a lime colored Groovy Girl dress. If you're going to have pictures taken this spring, these are the dresses to have. The bright colors come out so great in any picture.

We will be away for a couple of days, but orders can still be placed and they will be sent out the end of next week. I can't just leave you though, I have to give you something to look forward to. This is where the secret comes in. I have a fun new clothing idea that I'm currently working on and I can't wait to show you. I can't tell you just yet, but I will leave you with a hint. It's a great way to get two for the price of one. =)

    Title: New Collars!
I've just started a new category featuring ribbon collars. These are collars that are made by sewing ribbon onto durable nylon webbing. Each collar has a D-ring for a leash to be attached and a slider so that the size is adjustable. All collars have a slide release style buckle. Several have been added with several more to follow. Just like with our harnesses and dresses, I'll continually add more as I find "must have" ribbon. Right now I'm offering two sizes that range from an 8" to a 17" neck. All 3/8" collars are made using a breakaway buckle unless a regular buckle is specified. These are perfect for cats and small dogs!
